At Elsie Tweed, our designs are inspired by the natural beauty surrounding my home in North Donegal. This particular scarf draws inspiration from the old Irish saying: “Pink sky at night, farmer’s delight. Pink sky in the morning, farmer’s warning.”

Woven in vivid shades of fuchsia, coral, and golden orange, this piece captures the essence of a glowing evening sky — the kind that promises good weather and even better days. Each Elsie Tweed scarf is uniquely designed and crafted from 100% merino lambswool for an exceptionally soft, luxurious feel. Our scarves are woven in County Donegal, Ireland, then carefully sewn in our Greencastle studio. Using time-honored techniques of traditional Irish tweed, we add our exclusive, modern designs to create pieces that are both stylish and timeless. These scarves make the perfect gift, blending the warmth of Irish craftsmanship with a fresh, contemporary look.

NOTE: We sell two sized scarves- standard size 11” scarf and 17” oversized scarf that can double up and a wrap in summer. See image or get in touch if you want more information. 
Also each scarf is hand cut and sewn so there may be slight colour variations from images above.

Care instructions: We recommend dry cleaning only. However, pure wool and lambswool can be steamed. If it gets very wet please dry in open air, Do not tumble dry.
