Shipping Policy
At Elsie Tweed, we take great care in packing and shipping your orders to ensure they arrive safely and promptly. Please read the following information to understand how we handle shipping and what to do if there are any issues with your order.
1. Shipping Methods
- All orders are shipped via registered post to ensure tracking and delivery confirmation. We use An Post for all shipments within Ireland and internationally.
- Once your order is shipped, you will receive an email with tracking details so you can follow its journey.
2. Processing Time
- Orders are processed within 1-2 business days. During busy periods, such as Christmas, please allow for additional processing time.
- If your order is delayed due to a high volume of orders or an unexpected issue with the courier service, we will notify you as soon as possible.
3. Shipping Delays & Lost Packages
- While we strive to ensure timely delivery, shipping delays may occasionally occur due to factors outside of our control, such as postal service issues, especially during busy seasons.
- All orders are sent via registered post, which requires a signature upon delivery. If you are not available to sign for your package, it may be returned to the postal service’s local office for pickup or sent back to us.
- Please ensure that your shipping address is correct and that someone will be available to receive and sign for your package. We are not responsible for packages that are not signed for or returned to us due to undeliverable addresses or missed deliveries.
4. Address Issues
- Please double-check your shipping address before completing your order. If an incorrect address is provided, it may result in delayed delivery or the return of your package.
- If a package is returned to us due to an incorrect address or failure to be signed for, we will contact you to arrange re-shipping at the customer’s expense.
5. Customs Charges & International Orders
- For international orders, including to the UK, please be aware that customs charges, taxes, or import duties may apply once the package reaches your country. These charges are the responsibility of the customer.
- We recommend checking with your local customs office to understand potential fees before making a purchase.
- If the customer refuses to accept the delivery due to these charges or any other reason, and the package is returned to us, we will issue a refund for the product (minus any shipping and customs costs). Unfortunately, we cannot issue a refund for any customs fees paid.
6. Refunds for Lost Packages
- In the unfortunate event that your package is lost in transit, please contact us as soon as possible. We will work with the postal service to locate the package, but please note that once a package has been handed over to the courier, Elsie Tweed cannot be held responsible for any delays, damages, or losses incurred during transit.
- Refunds or replacements will be issued only if the postal service confirms that the package is lost and cannot be located.
7. Responsibility for Delivery
- We take great care in packaging and shipping your order. However, once the package leaves our premises, we are not liable for issues such as postal delays, lost packages, or failure to sign for a delivery.
