At Elsie Tweed, our designs are inspired by the breathtaking natural beauty surrounding my home in North Donegal. The Bluebells Scarf captures the delicate beauty of the Irish bluebell woods in springtime, where carpets of soft, bell-shaped flowers create a serene, enchanting landscape. The scarf’s design mirrors the natural clusters of bluebells, with intricate patterns reflecting the gentle curves and overlapping petals of these wildflowers.
Its color palette draws from the subtle blues and purples of the bluebells themselves, combined with the fresh, lush greens of the woodland floor. Touches of soft cream and light grey evoke the dappled light filtering through the trees, bringing a calm, natural elegance to the piece.
Crafted from 100% merino lambswool for a luxuriously soft feel, this scarf is as comforting as the quiet woods it celebrates. Each piece is woven in County Donegal and hand-finished in our Greencastle studio using traditional Irish tweed techniques, blending heritage craftsmanship with a fresh, contemporary design.
The Bluebells Scarf is perfect for adding a touch of nature’s grace and springtime renewal to your wardrobe. It also makes a thoughtful gift, connecting the wearer to the timeless beauty of the Irish countryside.
NOTE: We sell two sized scarves—standard size 11” scarf and 17” oversized scarf that can double up as a wrap in summer. See image or get in touch if you want more information.
Also, each scarf is hand cut and sewn so there may be slight colour variations from images above.
Care instructions: We recommend dry cleaning only. However, pure wool and lambswool can be steamed. If it gets very wet, please dry in open air. Do not tumble dry.
